Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Solaire, I found myself grappling with the balance between luxury and value. The location is certainly a selling point-just a short walk from Surfers CBD and all the holiday vibes that come with it. Families can enjoy spacious accommodations, and we had the benefit of a dining table and basic kitchen utensils, which were convenient for our group of four. Our apartment faced the main road, leading to a rather noisy experience that made restful sleep elusive. Cleanliness was another concern; the space felt a bit neglected. While I appreciate amenities like air conditioning and a flat-screen TV, I expect a higher standard, especially at this price point. Though the caretaker was friendly and helpful, I was surprised by the limited interaction with staff, and reception closing at 3:30 PM feels impractical for travelers like us landing later in the afternoon. In all, while Solaire has the potential to be a pleasant family spot, I found better options nearby, like the Trilogy Apartments across the road. If you're after a blend of luxury and value, you might want to explore a bit further.
